Product Manager – Coronary

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of the VP of Market Development and the U.S. Marketing lead, the Product Manager (PM) will play a crucial role in driving both upstream and downstream marketing of the Vesalio cardiovascular product line, consistent with overall Vesalio business objectives.

The PM is responsible for the commercial execution of coronary marketing projects and pipeline development.  The PM will drive the tactical execution of product strategy and support commercial teams globally.

This position requires excellent communication, collaboration, project management, and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a cross-functional capacity, KOL relationship development, and influence management are equally important.

The PM will work across the organization, collaborating with/supporting the US and international marketing and sales teams, internal functional groups, and senior management. Outside of Vesalio, the PM will collaborate with 3rd party providers such as agencies, society congress organizations, etc. Primary customer interactions will include the physicians and staff involved in minimally invasive cardio-vascular interventions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Upstream Marketing & Product Strategy

  • Lead market and physician research to define product and market requirements
  • Analyze customer needs, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and regulatory pathways to inform product strategy and growth opportunities
  • Partner closely with R&D to guide product development, design trade-offs, and lifecycle management, serving as the voice of the customer
  • Contribute to product roadmap and lifecycle planning, including identification of product enhancements and potential new offerings
  • Participate in R&D design reviews, providing data-driven insights and perspectives


Downstream Marketing & Execution

  • Drive execution of downstream marketing initiatives, including product launches and marketing plans
  • Develop and refine product positioning and value propositions, clearly articulating differentiation and unmet needs versus competition
  • Lead competitive intelligence efforts, including positioning, features, and pricing analysis
  • Create high-impact marketing, sales, and training materials to support product presentations, demonstrations, and technical education
  • Coordinate Vesalio’s presence and messaging at key U.S. and international congresses
  • Collaborate with U.S. Sales and International Market Development partner to support commercial strategy and execution
  • Support physician targeting and segmentation strategies
  • Drive post-launch tracking and marketing programs to optimize adoption and performance
  • Support and participate in physician meetings, customer site visits, and key clinical engagements to capture actionable insights
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and clinical partners to support safe and effective product use
  • Contribute to product demand forecasting and ongoing performance monitoring
  • Enable sales teams through effective training, tools, and ongoing product support

Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in product management and marketing in the medical device space with a track record of building KOL-relationships and working effectively with cross-functional teams to bring successful products to market
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the coronary space with a strong technical and clinical background
  • A track record in designing, developing, and executing marketing projects that generate sales results
  • Strong knowledge of technical aspects for similar products with expertise in offering recommendations for successful development of product pipelines.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is required
  • Degrees or masters in business, marketing, or communication would be preferred

Language

  • Proven editorial skills in English required
  • Knowledge of additional languages will be considered an asset

Computer Skills

Perfect ease with MS Office programs is required
