POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Vesalio is seeking a highly analytical and adaptable Supply Chain Analyst to orchestrate and optimize our global, fully outsourced medical device supply chain. In this role, you will be responsible for leading complex data analysis, demand forecasting, and inventory strategies to ensure uninterrupted product availability for healthcare providers while maintaining strict regulatory compliance (FDA, ISO 13485). Because Vesalio utilizes a 100% outsource model, this role shifts away from internal production scheduling to focus heavily on global vendor orchestration, Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) governance, and external risk mitigation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- CMO & Third-Party Governance: Act as the primary operational liaison with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), sub-suppliers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- External Production Oversight: Monitor vendor production schedules, capacity constraints, and component lead times to ensure uninterrupted supply without holding physical manufacturing assets.
- Supplier Quality & Compliance Integration: Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure external partners maintain strict compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and specialized Quality Agreements.
- S&OP Coordination: Drive the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by translating demand forecasts into finished goods purchase orders and long-term capacity forecasts for external partners.
- Advanced Data Analytics: Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as scrap rates, inventory turns, backorders, and perfect order metrics using advanced data visualization tools.
- Inventory & Lifecycle Management: Manage end-to-end supply chain visibility and inventory tracking across multiple external nodes, supplier warehouses, and international distribution hubs. Lead inventory optimization strategies to balance product availability against obsolescence risks, managing the lifecycle of sterilized medical components.
- Demand Planning & Sourcing: Partner with Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) teams to build robust demand forecasting models, identify supply chain bottlenecks, and mitigate single-source supplier risks.
- Supplier Performance Management: Conduct rigorous business reviews and audit vendor performance against strict Quality Agreements and delivery schedules. Lead initiatives to enhance supply chain resilience.
- Other responsibilities: Employee recognizes that Vesalio is a start-up company with a small number of employees and products and acknowledges that their responsibilities may change over time, consistent with Employee’s background and expertise and Vesalio’s needs.

Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge and Experience
Direct experience in the medical device industry and familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 13485 or FDA 21 CFR 820).
Exceptional cross-functional leadership, strong communication skills to present findings to executive leadership, and high emotional intelligence to thrive in a fast-paced start-up ecosystem.
Minimum of 2-5 years of supply chain or business analyst experience, with a proven track record managing external suppliers, CMOs, or 3PL networks within a highly regulated medical device or life sciences environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Bioengineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
Language
Strong oral and written communication skills in English is required.
Computer Skills
Advanced proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modules optimized for external tracking and procurement portals.
Strong expertise in data analysis tools like SQL, Microsoft Excel (advanced modeling), and BI platforms (Power BI or Tableau).
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint).
